I am working in Jakarta and have access to RTM1 news and everyone in the world was delighted he was gone. All except for the Malaysian home minister who spoke of him as though he was a national hero lost at war. It was aired all over here as a joke!

Noordin had killed many innocent lives in the name of 'jihad'. How are we to atone for the loss of the victims' loved ones?

Michael: Malaysia's government should buy over (Formula One regulation body) FIA from Bernie Ecclestone instead of participating in F1 as a team.
We can then change its name to 'Formula 1 Malaysia '. This will enable our country to get the cheapest publicity worldwide, throughout the entire year, and not confined to the few racing hours .
We can also decide on the venue of F1 races, and perhaps remove Singapore from the F1 calendar.
Billions of ringgit in funding should not be a problem during the recession as our government can always issue 'Formula 1 Malaysia ' unit trusts or perhaps Petronas could step in in helping our nation achieving 'our' dream.
Proton will be allowed to race, but of course with the technology and engine supplied perhaps by Porsche to increase the chances of taking the chequered flag.
Also in conjunction with the '1Malaysia' concept, we should have four local drivers in F1: one Malay, one Chinese, one Indian, and one 'lain-lain' to reflect the peaceful racial integration in our country.We love 'Formula 1 Malaysia'.
