
Big fish will buy politics to get regulation so they can bypass antitrust laws. Such as the 1945 McCarran-Ferguson Act, making it easier for monopolies and duopolies to exist. If you think about it, the free market allows for ownership of politics on both sides.
It's a free market and greed always wins in the end. Regulation always thins, because politics change and money is always to be made.
The good in politics are made the bad because of big money. I once thought our free market wasn't free because of regulation, but regulation is always in the hands of a profiting congressmen and a deep pocketed special interest group or company.
